Open Training in effective Networking for

Civil Society Organisations, Initiatives and Networks

The ENGAGE, Do your Part for Peace, programme, implemented by the NGO Support Centre and the Management Centre organises an Open Training for Civil Society Organisations, Networks and Initiatives.

The objective of the training is to provide participants the skills to become engaged in policy formulation and contribute to reconciliation. By the end of the training, participants are expected to enhance their knowledge about effective networking for policy engagement and advocacy, active participation towards reconciliation and peace building process, cooperation among civil society organisations or groups and effective policy making and the importance of building networks.

The Open Training will take place in Thalassa Restaurant and Conference centre at Governor’s beach Friday and Saturday 10-11 September.

It is generally recognized that there is an urgent need for education and training in effective advocacy and networking for the maximisation of impact in the reconciliation process. This is why, ENGAGE, Do your Part for Peace programme, which is supported by UNDP-ACT has focused its efforts mainly on Civil Society organisations and networks, in the light of current challenges and needs of Cyprus’ society.
